We're very excited about this performance. This is quite a unique venue. Anything I can tell you here would fall short of all that they do. Please visit their website for more information. There will be a pot luck buffet, so bring enough of a portion to feed approximately 20 people. It doesn't be fancy. Even a beverage, salad, or chips & dip would be fine. They don't serve alcohol, but you can BYOB if you like.

Ms Marci & The Lovesick Hounds" will be blessed to have her band to warm things up!

We are very happy to say that previous band member, the very talented guitarist, Rick Harrington will be filling in for Phil Guglielmi. I might even get Rick to play some bass so I can maybe play a little guitar, tambourine, or maybe a little kazoo! Some of you may remember that Rick played guitar with us when we opened up for and backed up legendary blues pianist, Pinetop Perkins. Our drummer, John Iacona, and guitarist, Jim Hooper were also on that gig, so, it'll be a reunion of sorts...very cool! A $7.00 cover gets you 2 bands AND a free drink, too!
Hope to see you all there!

January 2009

Saturday , January 17th at The Elks Club in Willimantic at 6:00 P.M.
Our good friends Mike & Meryl Bloomer need our help. Meryl has multiple sclerosis that has rendered her unable to work. Although she receives Social Security benefits, she will not be eligible for Medicare for at least two years. This leaves the Bloomers paying out of pocket for very expensive health insurance as well as M.S. treatments that are not covered.
We are organizing an allstar musical benefit on Saturday , January 17th at The Elks Club in Willimantic at 6:00 P.M. There will be many acts and jams with most of the areas' musicians pitching in. We are asking everyone attending for a suggested donation of $20. There will be a pot luck buffet so if you wish, please bring something to share.
The Elks Club, (Pleasant Street, Willimantic) has been kind enough to donate the hall and our sponsor at the Elks, Tom White will cover the clean-up costs, so all donations will go directly to the Bloomers. The musicians so far are: Bruce John and The Eagleville band with Wild Bill Furey, Bob Lee , Jason Altieri , Jim Bailey and Patty Tuite, King Cake, Jan Jungden, Justin Blackburn, & George Spurlock with a new project (as yet unnamed), Pink Jimi Pocious, Ms Marci and Jim Hooper (and friends) and many more.
Information on advance ticket sales will follow.
Please tell everyone you know about this helping hand for the Bloomer family. Mike, Meryl and Tessa all thank you in advance for your generosity.
